TEACHING

“We were lucky enough to have Ms. Christine Wulf as our son’s piano teacher for four years. He began lessons with her when he was five years old. Christine was always extremely patient and nurturing while teaching.  She paired fun songs, with the academic parts of lessons to make each week different and enjoyable for our son’s age. Her recommendations in all aspects of our son’s musical talents were greatly appreciated, including assistance in selecting a new piano for him. We thoroughly enjoyed watching our son and all her students play at the recital and to see what incredibly talented children she had created.  We will truly miss Ms. Wulf’s weekly visits to our house for lessons, as we loved to hear the music that she and our son played together.   She is an extremely talented young lady, on the piano, and as a teacher.”

"Christine is an excellent piano teacher that has the ability to transfer her knowledge of piano to students in a way that facilitates excellent learning.  Christine's professionalism and gentle approach with younger students leads to much success.  As a parent of one of her students I appreciate Christine's patience during the lessons.

Christine not only teaches piano but she also gets to know her students which facilitates a positive learning environment."

"Four years ago I met Christine. I had seen her talent and love for piano over a YouTube video and immediately knew that she would be the perfect teacher for me moving forward as a pianist. We would pick songs that interested me but were challenging, even if it would take the end of two classes and 3-4 books to find the right song at that time. She is incredibly patient, gentle and forgiving while teaching and helped me break old habits quickly. A few of my favourite songs I learned were difficult when I first started out, but as I learned them with her help, they got easier. It pushed me as a student and helped me incline my learning.

We had 2 recitals a year and she made the them feel exciting, like you would be missing out on something great if you weren't there. One thing I loved about the recitals was that Christine was there as a constant, looking through the grand piano, across the stage re-assuring that I would do fine. She would act as a center that would pull my focus back onto the music rather than on the people sitting in the theatre.

Something that helped me a lot that she applied to recitals was memorization. It was a big key when working towards them, along with new pieces. Even though it would take time, it made your job as the student easier and helped you feel more accomplished after recitals.

Christine is such a unique person with a caring heart and knows exactly how to connect to you as a pianist. I've had the pleasure of knowing her for 4 years and am going to miss her terribly, I wish you all the best in the future."
